Zev Raben

Zev Raben is a highly respected entertainment lawyer with over a decade of experience advising financiers, distributors, and production companies in the film and television industries. A graduate of Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York, Zev specializes in representing financiers and distribution companies in complex transactions, helping them optimize deal structures and secure intellectual property rights.
Throughout his career, Zev has worked on a wide range of projects, collaborating with producers to develop corporate structures that effectively manage intellectual property ownership, control, and recoupment strategies. His extensive background includes providing counsel on rights acquisitions, production financing, and international co-productions.

Michelle Chang
Managing Partner
Chang has been involved in financing, production, and distribution legal matters as well as serving as general counsel for a wide range of notable projects. Her work with Boardwalk Pictures includes upcoming titles like Paul American (2025, Max), The Clubhouse: A Year with Red Sox (2025, Netflix), and The Later Daters (2024, Netflix), along with previously acclaimed series such as The Big Brunch (2022, Max), Welcome to Wrexham (FX), We Need to Talk About Cosby (2022 Sundance, Showtime), Val (2021 Cannes), The Show (2021 Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show), Men in Kilts (Showtime), The Goop Lab (Netflix), Cheer (Netflix, Emmy Award Winner), We Are Freestyle Love Supreme (2020 Sundance), The Black Godfather, Last Chance U, and Chef’s Table. Recent and ongoing projects include America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (Netflix) and Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE (Netflix).
Since joining the Firm in 2010, Michelle Chang has played a key role in launching and leading RAMO’s non-fiction initiative. Under her guidance, the department has grown significantly, representing high-profile clients such as Boardwalk Pictures (Chef’s Table, America’s Sweethearts), Scout Productions (Queer Eye), and Campfire Studios (The Way Down, The Money Game). In addition to her work with these industry leaders, Chang provides comprehensive business and legal affairs services to clients including The Solution Entertainment Group, Hasan Minhaj’s 186K Films, Tremolo Productions, and Abu Dhabi-based Image Nation. As Managing Partner, Chang co-leads the Firm with Elsa Ramo, helping to oversee its wide-ranging client base and strategically adapting the Firm’s services to meet the evolving demands of an increasingly content-driven industry.
Chang’s achievements have been widely recognized in the industry. She has been featured repeatedly in Variety’s Legal Impact Report (2020–2025) and Dealmakers Impact Report (2020–2023), including the 2021 spotlight on top negotiators behind major deals. She was also named one of the “Leaders of Influence: Minority Attorneys” by the Los Angeles Business Journal in 2022.
